Executive Coach

Simon is an executive coach with over 25 years’ experience in leadership, consulting, and people management. Formerly a Managing Director at UBS and Head of People & Organisation at Investec, he helps leaders and teams reflect, learn, and perform at their best.

Country: United Kingdom

Sector experience: People management, consulting

Background

Simon specialises in executive coaching, leadership and team performance. He works alongside his clients supporting them to reflect, learn and flourish in their organisations and context.

Simon has more than 25 years’ professional experience in leadership, consulting and people management. Early in his career he was a management consultant with Willis Towers Watson. He joined the People function of UBS in 2001, where he held a number of different leadership roles for the Investment Bank and the Group, becoming a Managing Director in 2007. In 2012, Simon moved to Investec where he led the People & Organisation function for both the Wealth and Banking businesses, acting in a regulated capacity and as a member of the executive management team.

He lives on the Surrey Hampshire borders with his wife and 3 children.

Coaching Style

He invites his clients to reflect on their personal journey, their values, where they see themselves, in their role, relationships and organisation … as well as their challenges and fears for the future. Through the dialogue, Simon supports his clients to increase their self-awareness, to rediscover hidden strengths, to find their way with confidence through career transitions and to adapt to what is new or changing.

The ambition is to thrive, not just cope, and to create value within their organisations.

Both from my personal experience of ECC's approach, and from seeing the impact on our company I can particularly recommend their pragmatic approach and their insight into our collective and individual needs.
Executive Senior Leader
The six sessions I had with my ECC Coach changed my perspective of coaching. I was initially uncertain (and possibly sceptical) about the benefits of coaching but my coach read me very well and knew when to coax a response out from me by being encouraging and when to firmly push me to see the benefits of reframing some of my previously held positions.
