Aboodi Shabi

Executive Coach

Meet Aboodi Shabi, an expert executive coach at Executive Coaching UK, specialising in leadership and personal growth to help you achieve your goals.

Country: United Kingdom

Sector experience: Financial services, media, NGOs, property services and public bodies.

Background

Aboodi has been working in the world of professional and personal development almost all his working life, beginning his career in the voluntary sector in the 1980s.

In the late 1990s, he started a coaching and training business, working with executives and teams all over the world.

For several years, he was also a senior trainer of Newfield Network’s ontological coaching programme, leading executive coaching and leadership programmes in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

He is currently on the faculty at Henley Business School, where he is Lecturer in Coaching and Behavioural Change.

Coaching Style

Aboodi’s coaching style is profoundly influenced by his personal history and by his educational background in philosophy.

Born in London of Iraqi Jewish and Lebanese Christian parents, and with a degree in philosophy and politics, he has a sensitive antenna for different perspectives and cultures, and a deep curiosity and understanding about people and what makes them tick.

Aboodi continues to bring this “outsider’s” view-point to his work today, challenging the status quo to bring new perspectives and transformational thinking to his clients.

His clients value his honesty and his warm yet challenging style, and his capacity to get to the heart of the matter quickly and sensitively, helping individuals and teams to achieve profound and sustainable change.

Clients would describe Aboodi as challenging, compassionate and deep.

Incredibly valuable and insightful - really helped me better understand what I can do to drive value and be successful within my organisation and helped me identify where my challenges may be along with a plan on how to address them. Excellent coaching!

All employees deserve to get an attentive, committed and improvement focused coach, and all businesses deserve to get improvement from investing their employees. This coaching experience delivered on both those things - it’s the easiest decision you can make
Head of Social Strategy

The six sessions I had with my ECC Coach changed my perspective of coaching. I was initially uncertain (and possibly sceptical) about the benefits of coaching but my coach read me very well and knew when to coax a response out from me by being encouraging and when to firmly push me to see the benefits of reframing some of my previously held positions.
Head of Legal
International Property Group
I found my ECC coaching sessions incredibly valuable – for the unique and necessary space I was seeking as a sole proprietor to feel heard, understood and connected to a peer in business. My coaching experience provided a safe space where I could be the real me, and provided a relationship I could truly trust. Thank you ECC.
