Report in Brief
It’s been four years since ECC launched the first Parental Fog Index. We created the report to make employers aware of the need to openly support working parents and actively market that support as part of their talent management and gender balance strategies.
This cross-industry report ranks the websites of the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers by visibility of support for working parents. It’s a tool for employers to benchmark how well their organisation actively markets support through the company website. It includes practical advice for employers to improve support for working parents and how to market it to their competitive advantage.
At a time when there are fewer women available to promote, the majority of companies are failing in a basic measure of inclusion by not being clear about family-friendly policy for would be employees.
Top findings from this year’s report include:
- Two-thirds of employers don’t publish basic details of parental pay and leave
- Number of employers promoting support for working parents drops 19%
