Karen’s distinct perspective is shaped by more than two decades inside JP Morgan, spanning client-facing roles in New York and senior HR and leadership development roles in London. This experience gives her unparalleled understanding of leadership from both the commercial and organisational side of global financial services. She now works as an Executive Coach with senior leaders and management teams across financial institutions, supporting high performers as they step into broader, more demanding roles.

Background & Experience

After spending 10 years in New York in client-facing roles across capital markets and private banking, she relocated to London, where she served as Head of Human Resources and Head of Learning and Development for Asset Management EMEA. This breadth of experience gives her a distinctive perspective on leadership, combining direct exposure to revenue-generating environments with deep expertise in talent, development and organisational effectiveness.

Who Karen Works With

Karen’s coaching is particularly focused on accelerating the development of high-performing leaders at pivotal moments in their careers. She works with senior managers and executives who are stepping into broader roles, increasing their organisational influence, or taking on greater strategic responsibility. Her experience inside a complex global institution provides Karen with a strong understanding of the realities of leadership in regulated, high-pressure environments, and of the judgement required to operate effectively at senior level.

Karen is especially effective with leaders who need to strengthen their presence, adapt their style as expectations increase, and lead with greater clarity as their remit expands. Drawing on both her commercial and HR leadership background, Karen helps clients think carefully about how they are perceived, how they influence others, and how they position themselves for long-term success in demanding organisational contexts.

Karen combines her business experience and psychological insight to help clients optimise their personal impact, increase resilience, and sometimes make difficult changes in order to thrive in their intense and complex organisations. She creates the space for them to identify their own best options and solutions while offering insight and supportive challenge to stimulate their thinking. Karen draws upon a wide range of tools and models to help her clients become more self-aware and intentional in the impact they have on others. Senior executives like her pragmatic approach and appreciate that she understands their context and the associated issues and opportunities.

Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of financial services, making her particularly well placed to support leaders operating in fast-paced, performance-driven and highly regulated environments.

Qualifications & Credentials

Karen is a member of the Association for Coaching, trained at the EMCC-accredited Myles Downey School of Coaching, and holds Hogan assessment certification.
