Clients describe Sian as an intuitive coach, who provides support and makes them think. Sian likes to support clients during their professional lives to help them to connect with who they are and how this can be embodied in work. She often describes her work as “holding up the mirror” for her clients, which she does with integrity and respect. Sian is passionate about learning and believes that regular and honest self-reflection is the key to this. This is the cornerstone of her own on-going personal and professional self-development.

In addition to being an associate of the ECC Sian runs her own business providing Coaching and Leadership and Management Development. Prior to this she spent 10 years in Financial Services (Nationwide Building Society) in a number of Senior Management roles in HR and Line Management. The previous 10 years were spent in Retail, with 8 years at Marks and Spencer as an HR Manager and 2 years at Somerfield as a Regional Head of HR.
In her previous roles Sian has had extensive experience of working with individuals at all levels to improve their performance.
Coaching style
Sian’s coaching approach integrates many different methodologies. Most importantly, her approach and style is determined by the needs of the client, which is always focused on their goals, but is flexible as new information arises and self-awareness increases. Over a number of years Sian has developed her own Mindfulness practice allowing her to work in the moment with clients. Sian supports the client in their own journey of self-reflection to embed their learning. Clients describe her as an intuitive coach who provides support and challenge to understand how they think and feel. Sian describes her work as “holding up a mirror” for her clients which she does with integrity and compassion.
Special interests
Over a number of years Sian has developed an interest in and practice in Mindfulness meditation. She is part of a charity called The Mindful Life who support individuals and organisations that wish to bring Mindfulness into their lives.
Sian has a special interest in Well Being and can support individuals in developing strategies to optimise their own wellbeing, treating themselves with compassion. She is passionate about supporting individuals to find authentic meaning in their work and family lives.
One of Sian’s specialisms is supporting individuals with strategies to cope with today’s challenges and stresses in the workplace and re-engage with their confidence and performance levels. She is the lead coach for our Thrive programme.
Parental Transition coaching is a key part of Sian’s coaching portfolio. It links naturally to her interest in helping clients to “become all that they are capable of being”. Sian has 2 daughters and is well versed in the act of balancing work and family life! Her own experience of combining a successful career at Nationwide with the demands of a young family mean she is uniquely placed to coach women going through this transition.
Training & Qualifications
Sian is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD) and holds an Advanced Diploma in Professional Coach- Mentoring from the OCM. She is a member of the EMCC.
Sian is qualified to administer and interpret the following psychometric tools – FiroB, Emotional Intelligence Profile and Myers Briggs.
Sian receives regular supervision of her coaching practice.
